Welcome to Viva Villa Farm.....

Our farm is located in Friendsville, PA in Susquehanna County.  Our family consists of Mike, Jill, Zeb and Geo Swartley. The herd has both LaMancha and Recorded Grade LaMancha dairy goats and was started in 2006. Since that time, Jill has been active caring for, breeding and, since 2016, showing the herd both locally and at the national level whenever possible.

Jill started showing and judging dairy cattle as a youth while in 4-H, and later in FFA locally in Tunkhannock, PA. She also judged while in college at Penn State University. Jill has been the leader of Borderline Livestock & Community 4-H Club in Susquehanna County for the last 10 years. She works with her club on dairy and meat goats, sheep, breeding and meat rabbits, other production livestock and other community club projects.

Other animals raised on the farm include Icelandic sheep and there are around 15 animals that are sheared annually. The wool is then used to make dryer balls, felted sheep soap, nesting balls and wool ornaments. Raw wool is also sold to end users.

The milk from the dairy goat herd is used to make goat milk soap, lotion, butter (a thicker lotion), bath bombs and everything for kids that is soap related including finger puppets, ducks, unicorns, dinosaurs, sea life and many other items. Jill had skin allergies over 35 years ago and always used goat milk soap so it was natural that goat milk products were added when the dairy goat herd was started.

Recently the family has added maple syrup to the farm line-up. It is available in 3.5 sampler, half pint, pint, quart and half gallon maple syrup containers. Maple cream, a spreadable product, is also offered, as well as maple walnut and pecan ice cream toppings.

In addition the farm includes Muscovy ducks, chickens, a horse and  livestock guard dogs. Please see the About Us page for more on their beloved Great Pyrenees dogs and puppies.
